  • The History of the Flatiron, Columbus

Flatiron Tavern was established in 2019 in the historic Flatiron building in  downtown Columbus.
Originally built in 1910, the Flatiron offered a small saloon and grocery store, as well as a few apartments on the upper two floors. It was a very popular destination for the railroad builders that worked on the Columbus-Toledo rail line just north of the building.  For a time the saloon on the first floor of the building became a restaurant,  as a result of prohibition legislation. They later reverted this restaurant back into a bar.

We have taken pride in renovating the Flatiron building, our mission was to bring new life to this historic site in  Columbus.  Our company is proud to call Columbus its home.  We are a small family business, we appreciate all of customers who support local Columbus.
